Crown Paints' Responsible Manufacturing

Crown Paints has established itself as a leader in European sustainable manufacturing, recently winning the Marie Claire Sustainability Award 2024 for Eco-Friendly Decorating Brand of the Year. Their comprehensive approach includes transitioning all owned operations to renewable energy, recycling over 1.3 million paint cans through their innovative Can Back scheme, and introducing groundbreaking products like Crown Trade Clean Air, which features air-purifying technology that absorbs formaldehyde. Their ambitious Project Possible ESG strategy aims to achieve complete carbon neutrality across operations by 2026, reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the entire supply chain by 50% by 2030 and reach zero waste to landfill by 2026. We support manufacturers like Crown that demonstrate how traditional industries can transform their operations to prioritise sustainability without compromising product quality.

CERES

CERES has established itself as a leading voice in European sustainable policy advocacy, providing crucial guidance for businesses navigating the transition to a clean economy. Their 2025 Policy Outlook offers a comprehensive framework for advocacy in a challenging environment. It highlights actionable steps at federal and state levels across multiple sectors, including clean energy, transportation, buildings, industry, environmental justice, climate-smart agriculture and responsible business practices. By supporting CERES, we help advance understanding of how climate change affects Europe’s resources and economic activities, particularly in vulnerable sectors like fisheries and aquaculture. Their work developing adaptation strategies, early warning methods, new operating procedures, and commercial market adjustments creates a roadmap for businesses looking to thrive in a changing climate while contributing to sustainability goals.

Breakthrough Energy Catalyst

Breakthrough Energy Catalyst has formed a groundbreaking €840 million partnership with the European Investment Bank and European Commission to accelerate the deployment of emerging climate technologies across Europe between 2022 and 2026. This initiative funds first-of-a-kind commercial projects in critical areas, including clean hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel, direct air capture, long-duration energy storage and industrial decarbonisation of cement, steel, plastics, textiles, and fertilisers. Recent investments include €70 million for an e-fuels facility in Frankfurt and €75 million for thermal energy storage battery facilities. By providing catalytic funding to projects that have proven technology but need capital to scale, Breakthrough Energy Catalyst addresses the critical “green premium” challenge—making clean technologies economically competitive with fossil fuel alternatives.
